Regenerative Gardening With Kiss The Ground Organization

We had a chance to help out the Kiss The Ground Organization led my Ryland Engelhart, Finian Makepeace, Matt Finkelstein, and Lauren Frances Tucker. Kiss The Ground in a 501 c3 organization is based out of Venice CA. Kiss The Groundworks to create awareness and education for regenerative gardening in urban community settings as well as schools. Through initiatives Kiss, The ground continues to spread light in the world of organic soil, agriculture and regenerative landscapes and gardens.
We look forward to collaborating with Kiss The Ground on future projects.

Heirloom Treasures? Nevada County heirlooms Available In Fall?

Amigo Bob Cantisano is a true Nevada County agricultural heirloom. Self-educated, he is a walking, talking organic gardening encyclopedia and a man with a mission.

Through his consulting company, Organic Ag Advisors, he has worked with more than 600 farmers and 400,000 acres of crops over the last 30 years and helped to bring safer foods to our plates.

As the host of a monthly radio show, Organic Matters on KVMR-FM, he answers the many questions from frustrated (and successful) gardeners/farmers. He is the owner of Heaven and Earth Farm and a co-founder of the Eco-Farm Conference, to name just a few of his accomplishments.

How this ninth-generation Californian got his start in organic farming

Amigo Bob CantisanoAmigo Bob Cantisano has farmed in California since the mid-1970s — an array that includes tree fruits and nuts, berries, vegetables and olives, plus flowers and nursery stock. The 65-year-old farmer is on hiatus from working the land as he fights cancer, but he’s still tending his most important crop: ideas.

Part of that generation who went back to the land and stayed, this ninth-generation Californian started the first natural foods distribution company in California, and the state’s first organic farm supply, organic farming conference and organic crop consulting agency.
